Saturday was my big baby shower with all the family and close friends and it was fantastic! My mom and sisters did a great job decorating with pink and green everything just like Anna's bedroom and the treats were so yummy!
Almost everyone came and those that couldn't were kind enough to send a gift or card. Anna and I were so spoiled! I can't believe how generous, loving, and supporting everyone really was. I have been nervous about being ready for this little one to get here for a while but after Saturday I think the only thing we still need are a few bottles, formula, and a diaper bag :)
It's funny how my mind set changed instantly after that party. Now that I have so many darling clothes I just want to try them all on her. I want to wrap her up in the soft blankets we received and just hold her all day. It's going to be even harder to wait for her to get here (still about 6 weeks away!) Part of me is ready for her and part of me is scared to death that she really could be here in 3-6 weeks and be a healthy baby girl that I will have to take care of for the rest of my life.
Josh and I got quite a bit done in Anna's room last night and things are becoming more real everyday. Her name letters are up on the wall, the darling baby sign Jamie and Steph got us is up, all of her clothes are folded and sorted into drawers according to size, and the bird decals will be put up tonight. Holy smokes we are having a baby! I can't wait to meet her and I hope everyone else is excited to.
This post got WAY longer than I intended (sorry!) thanks to all of you that actually got through it. Also a HUGE thank you to all of my wonderful family and friends that are so supportive and loving, I don't know what we do without you in our lives. Have a wonderful week everyone!
